CBEC aims to become a major player in forestry development in Northland especially in the area of fast growing, high value, quality hardwoods. CBEC recently held a seminar in Kaitaia that has investors mobilised interest amongst a diverse group of peopel from farmers to business people and investors. CBEC's TREES COMAPNY NURSERY ran the seminar and has received large orders for contract growing of trees and plantation planting.

As well as specialising in high quality hardwood timber trees, the nursery also provides a full range of native trees and shrubs. The nursery has a thriving revegetation contracting business tendering successfully for a range of clients such as the Far North District Council, Housing New Zealand, and local businesses and contractors. Trees are also supplied to the Bushland Trust, another CBEC initiative, for its Habitat Protection work.
