Eco-village film at the New Zealand International Film Festivals -- 105
The New Zealand International Film Festivals are showing an amazing film about totally environmentally friendly communities built as communally owned land projects in the New Mexico dessert, eco-friendly reconstruction projects in tsunami and earthquake struck parts of South Asia and Mexico.
The houses are made of earth bricks, beer cans, car tires, plastic water bottles and rely upon only the earth`s natural resources to heat, cool, water and power them. The documentary film shows how the architect built these projects, how he lobbied the state authorities to be able to do what he does. It is extraordinary, infectious, inspiring and supremely uplifting.
The film is called `Garbage Warrior` and it will be showing only in the film festivals throughout New Zealand. The festival dates are:
