One thousand trees to be planted at Meola Reef Reserve: come help out.
The winter planting season in Auckland begins at Meola Reef Reserve with the planting of 1,000 native trees and shrubs. The group effort starts at 8:30 am on Saturday 13 June and is expected to continue till noon. The last working bee involved twenty adults and ten children, who had a great time exploring the reef at the low tide.
