~ THURS, 11 January - Indonesia Human Rights CommitteeVideo Evening - two videos about West Papua: 4 Corners 'Act of No Choice' which includes historical footage of 1969, archival material from Australian Foreign Affairs, interviews with a journalist present at the time; and 'Blood on the Cross' about the 1996 hostage taking episode - an investigation of the role of the British SAS/ Red Cross and Prabowo (both Australian documentaries). Very interesting viewing - all welcome, 7-45 pm at 155 Crummer Rd, Grey Lynn (close to Grey Lynn Shops), please bring something to share for a light meal - chicken pieces and a salad will be provided. ~ FRI, 19 January - is the last day for public viewing of the Parihaka Exhibition, at Wellington City Gallery (Civic Square) - the collaborative project initiated by the City Gallery, Wellington, and the people of Parihaka Pä, Taranaki. Essential viewing for every peace person, if you haven't made it there yet, you better get yourself along to it soon !
