~ FRI, 10 Dec - Human Rights Day protest outside the Chinese embassy, 7-30am to 9-00am, 588 Great South Road, organised by Friends of Tibet (NZ);

... also Friends of Tibet pot luck dinner at Tho Som Dhargyey Ling Humurana House (29 Princes Street - opp. Uni clock tower), 6pm to celebrate 10th anniversary of the Nobel Peace Prize awarded to the Dalai Lama, take a plate of food to share. The House is the newly opened Tibetan Meditation Centre, so an opportunity to have a look !

~ FRI, 10 Dec - "Rally for Human Rights" outside the Chinese Embassy, 2-6 Glenmore Street, Thorndon from 7-30am to 9-30am; information stall in front of the Trade Aid shop in Cuba Mall, near Manners Street, from 11-00am to 2-00pm. These events are to mark International Human Rights Day and the 10th Anniversary of His Holiness the Dalai Lama receiving the Nobel Peace Prize. ~ SUN, 12 Dec - premiere of ‘Windhorse’ at the Suter Cinema, 8-00pm; $15-00 (in aid of Tibetan refugees), tickets available from Rainbow Flight, Montgomery Square, Nelson. Juice and nibbles at 7-30pm.
