Trevor Richards/Volcano in My Tummy
From One World Books - two new books which you may be interested in ...
Trevor Richards has been in the news with his new book, Dancing on Our Bones, a participant history of the anti-apartheid movement (Bridget Williams, $39.95), and successful launches (reunions?) in Auckland and Wellington. We had a successful launch at One World Books, a non-profit trust in Auckland.
The book is really well written, lively and informative. Not a dull history.
One World Books can send you a (post free) mail order copy. Email firstname.lastname@example.org, and you'll get it with an invoice. You can pay by cheque or credit card numbers. Our other details are:
One World Books,
Definitely one for your bookshelves, and one to bring out when your child/grandchild/neice/nephew/friend asks "What was all that about?"
We have just had a launch for the second, more swept up edition of "A Volcano in My Tummy", by Eliane Whitehouse and Warwick Pudney (Foundation for Peace Studies, $27.95). It is a great source book for helping children handle anger. Lots and lots of strategies, ideas, games, etc.
You can get this book as well post-free from One World Books.
