Unwit1.gif (41804 bytes)Unwit4.gif (37809 bytes)A multinational force from UNWIT - UNiversal Women’s Inspection Team will arrive at Parliament today for a surprise inspection. “We will be attempting to measure the presence of chemicals and the levels of hypocrisy at this Presidential Palace site,” said Inspector Jane Addams.

This follows Sunday’s trial run at the US Embassy in Wellington where the new UNWIT hypocrisy meter was deployed with pinpoint precision for the first time. “Unprecedented levels of hypocrisy were detected around this representative location of the US government whenever phrases such as ‘respecting UN resolutions’, ‘possession and use of weapons of mass destruction’, or ‘Saddam Hussein has lied to the world’ were used,” said Inspector Addams.

Unwit2.gif (42258 bytes)UNWIT Inspectors will also try to ascertain precisely which chemicals are stocked on the premises of the Presidential Palace. In particular the Inspectors are interested in bleach or other chemicals used for sanitation or cleaning, or any medical supplies, all of these having been denied to the people of Iraq for the past seven years.

WELLINGTON, AOTEAROA / NEW ZEALAND - today the UNiversal Women's Inspection Team attempted to inspect the Presidential Palace site (aka Parliament Buildings) but was refused entry by the Palace security guards. This attempted inspection was covered by radio, tv and the press attracted to the event by the media release which follows. A letter to the Prime Minister Shipley expressing the disappointment at the refusal and the concerns of the UNWIT inspectors were handed in - we are hoping to get an appointment to carry out the inspection soon.
