The peace vigils are coordinated nationwide by Peace Movement Aotearoa - in association with Quakers - as part of Peace Movement Aotearoa's World War One Centenary Peace Project, and have three themes: remembrance, ending war, and promoting peace. More information about the three themes and the messages of the peace vigils is available here. The peace vigils are being held three times a year from 4 August 2014 (100th anniversary of the start of World War One) to 11 November (100th anniversary of Armistice Day) 2018 on: 4 August, 11 November and 25 April (ANZAC Day). If you would like to be involved in organising a peace vigil in your area, please contact Peace Movement Aotearoa.

Please scroll down this page for links to the peace vigil details, photos and resources for vigil organisers.
