Participation in the Converge WebCentre facilities is open to NGO or community not-for-profit members of ANGOA, CID and/or ECO, and to any other organisation that fits ANGOA, CID and/or ECO criteria.

Converge services

 
Terms of hosting at the Converge WebCentre.
  • Converge is a joint initiative of PlaNet NZ Trust, the ANGOA, CID and ECO.
  • Converge is managed by PlaNet NZ Trust.

WebHosting Services:

  1. Participation in the Converge WebCentre facilitities is open to NGO not-for-profit members of ANGOA, CID and/or ECO, and to any other organisation that fits ANGOA, CID and/or ECO criteria.

  2. WebHosting is available to Converge participants.
    WebSites of less than 2 megabytes in size are provided free of charge. Where required, an organisational FTP login may be provided to the participant.

  3. On each hosted site, Converge reserves the right to place a Converge logo-link on each NGO home, entry or index page.  Converge will determine which pages will carry logos. The person managing the NGO site should place the Converge logo-link on the appropriate pages and should not expect or require Converge to do this.

    The logo will link to the main Converge page. Where sponsorship is involved in providing the particular site or services to an NGO client then, an Converge logo may link to a nominated sponsorship page.

  4. Participants are expected to promote their website and use the url address "http://www.converge.org.nz/<ngo-name>/", on stationery and in brochures and booklets.

  5. Converge hosted sites must be maintained to a reasonable standard.
    Hosted websites must conform generally to NGO ethics. There should be no inappropriate, bad taste or offensive material. Should a breach be alleged then the manager may act and/or may refer the issue to ANGOA, CID and/or ECO for a determination.

  6. APC Converge reserves the right to edit or remove pages should that be deemed necessary. Where, for example, Converge faces potential liability due to the content of a site it is hosting, then it will act. However, if NGOs websites are not maintained properly then Converge may intervene to remedy the situation. That in no way implies that Converge is obliged to maintain sites on behalf of an NGO unless by prior agreement.

  7. "Free of Charge" means that an invoice and corresponding credit note will be issued together. The net payable charge is nil, but a value of services is indicated by the invoice amount and a sponsor party may be indicated on the credit note. No payment is required from the participant.

  8. The Converge WebCentre is constantly evolving. These terms and conditions will also change and evolve. Converge reserves the right to review these terms and conditions from time to time.
