The promotion and initiation of action and policies directed at the goals of world peace and the establishment of human rights for all as defined by the

United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights 1948.

Specific areas of focus include:

  1. Nuclear disarmament and demilitarization.
  2. The freedom of all prisoners of conscience.
  3. Ensuring fair and prompt trials for political prisoners.
  4. The abolition of the death penalty, torture, and other cruel treatment of all prisoners.
  5. The end of extrajudicial executions and "disappearances".
  6. Encouragement of media literacy amongst members.
  7. Full human rights for women.
