Call Out for Volunteers for Meola Reef Reserve Working Bee
Saturday the 26th of April is the last working bee at Meola Reef Reserve before the winter planting programme begins. Meet at the entrance on Meola Road at 9 am.
Something to consider while you help out are plans to create a third harbour crossing utilizing Black Reef, jutting out from the reserve land into the Waitemata Harbour. The Reef is an old lava flow, which supports a remarkable assortment of marine life. Talk with Mark Johnson on the day about the specific plans afoot.
For more information about this working bee, and long term plans for this area, contact Mark Johnson at (09) 815 2033.
